Death and Travels
Most people on the eve of a big trip are packing their bags with thoughts of frolicking on the beach or romancing in the sights of Paris. Not me. I'm preparing for my death. It's this odd obsession of mine. To be organized in death. Guess since I'm not in life, I might as well go out of this world giving people the final perception of being clutter-free and ahead of the curve. It only takes me all but 10 minutes to pack. So the rest of the night is spent changing my sheets/making the bed, cleaning, paying all my bills, putting my documents in their appropriate folders, leaving my insurance, Will and other death-related documents out so my next of kin will find them and have it all easy. There's even an index card with every online service of mine and the passwords. Of course it's all written in cryptic code but someone in my family will be able to figure it out. Just go to this translation service and you'll figure out the answers correctly after translating the questions.
The whole cleaning-the-house bit isn't because I want to come home to a clean house (hell.. I come home to a messy one everyday so what would I care) after a business trip but because I want those who rush to my house to feed my cats and take care of my business to have the impression that 'wow... we were soooo wrong about her!! She's so organized, uncluttered, on-time, on-top-of-things and so... clean.'
Ironically, inside all my chaotic clutter is organization. All my bills, documents, correspondences, mileage plans are 3-holed punch and in binders according to year, location and service.

You are hilarious and I mean that in a good, cool way. I appreciate the realist approach to life.
I only clean my house when travelling so my dogs have less things to pee on!
